Madison & Michael Johnson
You can plan for months, and even years, to pull off the most spectacular wedding day, but what no bride has figured out how to control (at least to my knowledge - ladies let us know, if so!) is the weather. You can't ensure sunshine, or a lack of humidity or rain or snow, no matter the time of year. You can only hope and cross your fingers, toes, legs and whatever other body parts you can cross that the weather works out in your favor. And for Madison and Michael, the M&M couple who were joined in marriage on October 15, 2022, at the Brownstown Christian Church in Brownstown, Indiana, all that body crossing paid off big.
It was a stunning Fall day, the temps were perfect; not too hot, not too cold. The sun was shining and there wasn't a drop of rain in sight. As the videographer of the day - that's a huge bonus to me! We were able to do all of their bridge and groom, family and wedding party shots outside with the crisp hues of orange and yellow backdropping the lady in white and the man in black.
I will never forget Madison and Michael's private vows to one another. At first they said they didn't think they wanted them included in their highlight video but said I should capture them as a separate video. Afterwards - through Madison's tears and even more of Michael's and not gonna lie, a few of my own and the photographer's, it was decided that there was no way those precious vows weren't going in their full video! I dare you to watch it below and see if you can keep the tissues at bay!
After the ceremony at the church, a gorgeous bubble exit from their friends and family, the couple and their party bus full of bridesmaids and groomsmen took a brief detour at Schneider's Nursery for some bonus video/photos before the reception. The burning red on the trees there were enough to make your jaw drop - and mine did. We then headed over to Pewter Hall in Brownstown for a wedding reception that was more akin to a Taylor Swift concert due to the overwhelming majority of songs played sang by the former country queen turned pop star. Madison is by far the most dedicated Swifty I have ever met and Michael can't have objected too much to the playlist.
After capturing some hard core YMCA'ing and Cupid Shuffling, I hugged the bride and groom goodbye and wished them a wonderful Disney honeymoon!
