Brenda and Mark Wolfe
I am your typical Type A person who thinks being 15 minutes early is barely on time and being 1 minute late is cause for a panic attack. So when I left my house an hour before Brenda and Mark's wedding in Brown County, Indiana, at a venue 30 minutes from my house - I thought I had built in plenty of time for any delay that may come my way. Wrongo. For future reference and for your future benefit - October 22 is one of the most beautiful days of the year to see the Fall foliage at Brown County State Park. Especially on a Saturday and especially when the weather screams that you must not waste the day indoors. About an hour and a half after I left my house I was finally pulling up to B&M's venue due to the absolute standstill traffic that awaited me on State Road 46. But I wasn't the only one - all of Brenda and Mark's guests got stuck in the traffic too and we had to move the wedding back about half an hour.
But unlike me, Brenda, the bride, took it all in stride. She has been a Fall lover for her entire life. In our first meeting together, the main point she wanted to get across to me were leaves, leaves, leaves. I MUST capture the leaves! So having her wedding on the most beautiful fall day of the year, in the most coveted place to see the changing leaves, was worth the delay for the epic shots below.
It was an intimate wedding with close friends and family members followed by a small reception in one of Brown County's several shelter houses, this one just down the hill from a beautiful lake which of course we had to get photos at.
I will say, the ride home was way more enjoyable as I journeyed the opposite way of all the traffic still fighting their way into the park to see all those leaves before they all fell to the ground the following weeks.
