Heather & Andrew - February 18, 2023

I have had the privilege to have taken family photos of Heather and her son, family photos of Heather, her fiance Andrew, and both of their sons, and now Heather and Andrew's wedding day! I truly feel like these two have become like friends to me and I was honored to get to capture their wedding day.

Heather recently left her job to pursue running her own business full-time, started building a house on her parent's property and on top of that was proposed to by Andrew just a few months ago! Being the Type A gal she is, she decided to plan her wedding on top of doing everything else for her business and new home, in just a few short months! And because it was both of their second marriages they wanted a simple backyard wedding with only their closest and dearest friends and family members in attendance. It was the perfect day that was just so *them*. Free of fuss, free of stress but unfortunately for Heather, also free of snow!

When Heather told me she picked February 18 because the Farmer's Almanac predicted it to be the heaviest weekend of snowfall, I was a little apprehensive. Shooting in the snow is beautiful but comes with its own obstacles (cold equipment, lots of layers that make it difficult to move around easily, cold subjects that look uncomfortable in photos, etc.). But it's what she wanted and we were going to make it work! Fast forward to the second week of February and mother nature is giving early spring vibes, regardless of what Punxatawney Phil had to say about any of it!

It turned out to be a 50 degree day with plenty of sunshine, not much windchill and definitely no snow! Heather was disappointed in the weather but had a wonderful day regardless! Watching these two tie the knot in front of their closest loved ones and read each other their own vows was such a special moment that I loved getting to be a part of.

I hope you two treasure these photos for all your years together.
